Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Powell, Ohio is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional turfgrass program. The position will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the course is presented in peak tournament-ready condition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage, train, and support staff to maintain the golf course to the highest standards.
• Conduct chemical and fertilizer applications, maintaining accurate records.
• Oversee irrigation maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with labor tracking and efficiency optimization.
• Aid in the hiring process and mentor staff development.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a certificate or a 2-4 year degree in Turfgrass Science or related field.
The qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of golf course experience including management of staff and chemical and fertilizer applications.
More importantly they must carry themselves in a professional and positive manner at all times and demonstrate a sense of pride and embrace a team-oriented culture.
The individual must be goal oriented and have aspirations to be a golf course superintendent.
Must have an Ohio Pesticide License or the ability to obtain one immediately.
Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 per year.
