Job Description : As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of the dogs in our care. You will supervise dog playgroups, monitor behaviors, and maintain a clean and organized daycare facility. A love for animals and a strong work ethic are essential to excel in this role.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise a large number of dogs during playtime and ensure that they are safe and behaving appropriately.
• Monitor and manage dog behavior to maintain a positive and peaceful environment.
• Assist with feeding.
• Ensure the facility is clean and sanitary, including washing bedding and cleaning up after dogs.
• Assist with dog introductions and ensure compatibility among playgroups.
• Report any health or behavior concerns to the management team.

Qualifications :

• Strong knowledge of dog behavior and body language.
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and breeds.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Mature, responsible and a strong work ethic.
• Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for animals.
• Flexible schedule. Holidays and weekends are required.

Bark and Board is conveniently located two miles north of Uptown Charlotte in NoDa, Charlotte's Historic Arts District. Our facility includes over 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space for doggie daycare and large dog suites for comfy overnight boarding. Our facility is climate controlled and contains fire and security protection.
