What you'll do:

The Scholarship Program Assistant works closely with the Higher Education Program Manager to provide a supportive living environment that is conducive to the academic and personal growth of college students. The Higher Education Program Assistant will live in the Higher Education Home with students to provide supervision and assistance as needed on a 24-hour basis. The Scholarship Program Assistant will work varying hours depending on the resident's needs.

To be considered, you should:

• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at an accredited college or university. Currently enrolled students in their senior year of a bachelor’s program will also be considered.
• Have previous experience as a resident assistant and/or experience in working with youth in foster care or an alternative care setting.
• Have experience living in on-campus housing.
• Have previous experience with cooking and preparing meals.
• Have a passion for working with a diverse student population, a commitment to student learning and development, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that will allow coverage on the Agency’s insurance policy.
• Receive a satisfactory background check that includes a check of employment and personal references, criminal history, driving background, Abuse Registry Check, Sex Offender Check, and pass a pre-employment physical examination, including a TB skin test and drug screen.

Compensation:

Scholarship Program Assistants are provided a compensation package that includes:

• $1,000 monthly stipend that will be paid semi-monthly in $500 increments.
• $7,000 annual maximum for tuition assistance.
• Off-campus room and board, including utilities.
• $500 meal plan per semester for fall and spring semesters.
