• Perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment as required.

• Perform repairs to processing equipment as required.

• Perform preventive maintenance on building mechanical systems as required.

• Perform repairs to building mechanical systems as required.

• Primary responsibility for this role will be looking after the Robotic Belly Trimmer (RBT).

• Troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Use of computerized maintenance management system.

Qualifications & Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate is required.

• Minimum two years of experience as a Millwright, preferable in a food production facility.

• The minimum two years’ experience must have been in the previous 5 years. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Highly motivated – able to work well with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Environmental work conditions can range from a cool environment, to one that is hot and wet.

• Will be required to work outdoors in all seasons.
