Position Overview
Weston Herzog LLP is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Located in Glendale, CA, our firm specializes in Employment, Insurance Defense, and Real Property Litigation. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide critical support to our attorneys, ensuring efficient legal and administrative operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, file and serve legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Maintain and organize case files and client correspondence.
Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
Track deadlines for court filings and discovery responses.
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
Answer telephones for attorneys
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative support role, preferably in civil litigation.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.
Knowledge of iManage document management software and/or Forms Workflow a plus.
