Job Description
Job Summary (Solution Architect)
- Lead analysis, design, and enhancement of enterprise systems and subsystems for the MCP application.
- Participate in Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with business and technical teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Provide expert input into business requirements documentation, design artifacts, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Perform detailed solution architecture, including analyzing and triaging issues, determining root causes, and recommending alternative solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and innovative programs using Java (J2EE), JSP/Servlets, JavaScript, JDBC, and Oracle WebLogic.
- Conduct code walk-throughs, code reviews, and guide development teams on best programming practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and artifacts.
- Collaborate with IT and program staff to triage defects, resolve issues, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure all work complies with ITSB policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Incorporate new technologies into existing enterprise IT systems and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Provide expertise in technical documentation and application data fixes.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.
- Apply knowledge and experience with public pension systems or governmental retirement/health benefits programs, such as CalPERS.
- Support both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
- Mentor and support team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
