Job Summary:

Wedlake is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As the Warehouse

Supervisor, you will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle and production planning. This role will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise warehouse processes to guarantee that all our products and practices meet quality expectations, budget and delivery requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a large, diverse and talented warehouse team. The primary goal of this position is to properly organize team members and achieve an efficient and productive workflow throughout the day. This position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level warehouse and inventory employees in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of assigned employees
  • Assure monthly goals and KPI’s are met
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure daily task completion
  • Monitor, track and meet project budgeted labor hours
  • Ensure employees timecards are correct, and labor hours are properly recorded
  • Interpret and execute policies and procedures in accordance with Wedlake policies
  • Monitor processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Communicates with the Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Ensures milestones and goals are met for the department
  • Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of the warehouse
  • Operates forklift as needed
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned
  • Coaching/Leadership in assigned department
  • Communicate with and assist other departments as needed
  • Ensures proper staging of materials at each workstation
  • Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Administer company policies consistently and fairly
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Specific Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred
  • Read, write and speak proficient English
  • Ability to supervise multiple projects and departments simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable in welding and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions
  • Ability to plan shop flow and execute plant goals
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety, and production
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in related area required.
  • At least two to three years minimum of supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
